About the role
You will work in the residential home providing a loving and caring environment to children aged 8 – 18 years. Working with a close-knit team, you will be supported every step of the way by our dedicated professionals. You will contribute to our great culture which ensures each child is treated with understanding, dignity, kindness and respect.

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and care for children in a residential setting, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Develop and implement individualised care plans tailored to each child's needs.
- Maintain open communication with children, families, and team members to foster a supportive environment.
- Drive children to appointments and activities as needed, ensuring timely arrivals.
- Document progress and any incidents accurately, utilising IT systems for record-keeping.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Form positive relationships with children based on respect and openness
Requirements:
- Experience working with children in a residential setting
- Have an awareness of safeguarding from harm and the ability to assess and manage risk
- Ideally you will have Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
- Aged 21 and over due to industry regulations.
- Must have a full UK valid Driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
Shift pattern – includes weekends and sleep-ins. 4-week rolling rota; sleeps are 8 across the rota for full-time time and 6 for part-time workers. Shifts are typically 2:30pm - 10:30pm / 7:00am - 3:00pm.
