Our support workers in our adult service, provide tailored 1:1 support to each service user, helping them gain the skills needed for independent living. Our dedicated team delivers personalised sessions focused on financial management, property maintenance, and employment guidance, ensuring everyone’s unique needs are met.

    We offer both practical and housing-related support to families, adults and NHS referrals in temporary accommodation across Liverpool. We work in collaboration with multiple agencies and is perfect for those committed to helping others to acquire essential life and housing skills for their future permanent homes. A car driver with a vehicle is essential due to the areas covered. It’s a fantastic time to join our Adults, Families and NHS Referrals team who are expanding due to business growth and new contracts secured.

    About You

    As a Team Leader managing the Adults Team, you will support the Team Manager by overseeing a cluster of accommodation provisions, including outreach services. You'll step in for the team manager when needed, manage staff, and work with the management team to maintain high standards in each property, ensuring quality and safe support for our service users.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead the move-in and out process for service users, ensuring all paperwork is completed to a high standard and service users receive a warm welcome and a full induction.
    • Reduce voids and support Bedspace's growth by planning effectively for move-on and coordinating with Team Managers and placement teams for new referrals.
    • Assess, in consultation with Team Managers and Support Workers, service users ready to transition to supported tenancies, ensuring appropriate support and benefits are in place.
    • Collaborate with regional teams and the wider business to enhance Bedspace and embed good practice models.
    • Assist Support Workers with delivering the ASDAN programme, improving service users' independence skills and educational achievements.

    Essential Requirements

    • Experience working with families, adults and children, preferably in an outreach environment.
    • Experience with complex case working including mental health, and challenging client groups.
    • Experience supervising staff or leading a team.
    • Full driving licence and access to a vehicle insured for business use.
    • Computer literacy.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills.
    • Thorough knowledge of safeguarding adults and children.
    • NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care qualification or willingness to work towards it.
