  • About The Role

  • Overview

    We’re looking for a highly organised and people‑focused Recruitment Onboarding Coordinator to join our HR Services team.

    You’ll be one of two Onboarding Coordinators, working closely together to manage pre‑employment checks for new starters and ensure everything is completed safely, accurately and in line with safer recruitment and safeguarding requirements.

    This role is ideal if you enjoy detail, clear processes and being the calm point of coordination between candidates, managers and internal teams.

    Working hours

    • 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday
    • Around 6 hours per day
    • Start and finish times to be agreed with the successful candidate

    This role is primarily home‑based, however you’ll need to be happy attending our offices for meetings, collaboration and team get‑togethers when required. This will mainly be at our Manchester or Liverpool offices, with occasional travel to Preston or Leeds.

    What you’ll do

    • Coordinate pre‑employment checks including Right to Work, DBS, references, employment history, ID and role‑specific requirements
    • Maintain a clear “ready to start” decision point and ensure compliance before start dates are confirmed
    • Review cases holistically, identifying risks or anomalies and escalating where needed
    • Act as the main point of contact for candidates during onboarding
    • Work closely with Recruitment Partners, Hiring Managers and internal teams to ensure smooth handovers and day‑one readiness
    • Keep accurate, audit‑ready records within HR systems

    What we’re looking for

    Essential

    • Experience in recruitment onboarding, HR administration or a compliance‑focused role
    • Good knowledge of pre‑employment checks (DBS, Right to Work, references)
    • Excellent attention to detail and record‑keeping skills
    • Confidence to challenge missing or unclear information
    • Ability to manage multiple cases at once

    Desirable

    • Experience in a regulated or safeguarding-focused environment
    • Knowledge of safer recruitment principles
    • Experience using Eploy, PeopleHR or similar systems
